What kind of name is papabeard? I'm actually asked that question a fair bit, so I'll tell how that name came to be, and how it relates to who I am.
When I started on the chat site and needed a name, I came up with this lame idea of being bearded dad, because, well, I have a beard and...you guessed it. Well, anyway, I created my own room on the site and used the beard motif in the name of it (maybe you've heard of it). One thing about me...I tend to be fairly protective over ladies. It's just in me to be that way. So when I run my room, I am on the lookout for anyone who would be rude, offensive, disrespectful towards those who were in my room, and that sort of became my reputation.
I had probably 3 famale staff at the time. I got to a point where I no longer liked my bearded dad name and wanted to change it, but had no ideas. So I asked the girls to give me their ideas. Right away, one of them suggested Papa Bear, because I'm protective, fair but firm and took care of the girls in my room and they felt safe around me.
I liked the idea, I liked the imagery of it, and the persona of it, and I felt it was accurate to how I am around those in my charge. But there was one small detail I needed to add. I changed bear, to beard. I just had to keep the beard in there, as that was the motif I was working with, and still do. So...if you come visit, or want to hang out, the bearded bear will be watching out for you.
PS...it's also a fit for my occasional grumpy attitudes lol.
